Teams

Invite and manage the people in your Jellypod team.

A team is the shared workspace that holds your Podcasts, credits, and members. The Studio sidebar and some settings also call it your organization or workspace. Plans, credits, and invoices are in Account and billing.

Invite someone

Only Admins can invite, resend, revoke, or remove members, all from Settings → Team.

  1. Open Settings → Team and click Invite.
  2. Enter their email address and choose Admin or Member (see Roles and permissions).
  3. Send the invitation. The invitee accepts through the link in the email.

New members see everything in the shared workspace. There is no per-project access, so finish anything sensitive before inviting collaborators.

On Enterprise, people who sign in through your identity provider are provisioned on first sign-in and don’t need an invitation. To set that up, see SSO.

Seat limits

Seats count active members; pending invitations are free. Included seats per plan are in Plan limits.

Paid Starter, Creator, and Business teams can add unlimited extra seats at $20 per seat per month, or $240 per seat per year on annual billing, following the plan’s billing cycle. Extra seats share the team’s credits and don’t add any.

  • Paid seats activate when members accept, prorated for the rest of the billing period.
  • If payment needs attention, the new member waits while existing members keep access.
  • Trials keep the plan’s included seats. Start a paid plan before adding more.
  • Free and Educator have no paid seats. Enterprise follows its agreed terms.

Teams already above their allowance keep access, but sending an invitation or confirming a plan change that shows the full seat bill approves billing for the extra members. Remove them first to avoid the charge.

Roles and permissions

Every team member is either an Admin or a Member. Only Admins can:

  • Invite and remove members, and change their roles.
  • See Usage and Billing, manage the subscription, and buy credits.
  • Change the team name.
  • Delete the team.
  • Manage API keys on Settings → API keys, along with members granted the API keys permission (see connecting AI assistants over MCP).

Members can do everything else, including creating, editing, and publishing content.

In Settings, Overview, Profile, Notifications, Exports, Channels, and Integrations are visible to everyone. Team is visible to Admins and members with team management permission, API keys to Admins and members with the API keys permission, and Usage and Billing to Admins and members with billing management permission. Without team management permission, a member sees the Team page with the name locked and no invite button. What each tab holds is in Settings tabs.

Manage invitations and members

Each row in the members list on Settings → Team has a menu. Your own row has none, so you can’t change your own role or remove yourself.

  • Pending invitations show a Pending badge and an expiry date. Their menu has Resend invite and Revoke invite.
  • To change a role, choose Make admin or Make member.
  • To remove a member, choose Remove from team. Access ends immediately and paid seat billing drops. Unused paid time becomes a credit toward future invoices, not a card refund.

The last Admin can’t be demoted or removed (“You cannot remove or demote the last admin.”), so make someone else an Admin first.

Rename your team

Admins can rename the team in the Team name row on Settings → Team: edit the field and click Save. The new name shows across Studio immediately. Other members see the field disabled. Renaming doesn’t change Podcast URLs, RSS feeds, or published content.

Troubleshooting

  • “That email is already a member or has a pending invitation.” Find the address in the members list, and use Resend invite if it’s pending.
  • Invitee didn’t get the email. Ask them to check spam, then use Resend invite. If the address was mistyped, revoke the invitation and send a new one.
  • No Invite button. You aren’t an Admin. Ask an Admin to invite for you or change your role.
  • “Something went wrong. Please try again.” Retry. If it keeps failing, contact support.
