Credits are granted monthly, including on annual billing. Costs, rollover, and expiry are in Understanding credits.

  • Length: No Episode can exceed 75 minutes on any plan. Choosing a length above your cap opens an upgrade dialog. Presets and defaults are in Video creation settings.
  • Characters and Brand Kits: The cap only blocks creating new Characters or Brand Kits, so existing ones stay usable if a downgrade leaves you over it.
  • Seats: Paid Starter, Creator, and Business plans can add unlimited seats for $20 per seat per month, or $240 per year on annual billing. Free and Educator can’t. Seat billing is in Teams.

Free plan

Every new account starts on Free, with no credit card. To stay on Free, choose Skip and continue at the plan step during onboarding; if that option isn’t shown, you need a trial or a plan to continue.

New accounts get 500 one-time credits, once per email address, and they don’t expire. Watching the tutorial video earns 300 more, and following Jellypod on LinkedIn, X, and YouTube earns 100 each. Disposable and Proton addresses (proton.me, protonmail.com, protonmail.ch, pm.me) get none of these credits.

On Free you can create, edit, voice, and preview Episodes, Videos, Shorts, and Voiceovers. Rendering, publishing, sharing, or downloading prompts you to start the free trial or subscribe, after which Videos rendered on Free earlier can be downloaded. Transcript and caption downloads work on every plan.

Episode scripts Jellypod writes on Free include a short Jellypod sponsor mention, read by your first host, until you edit it out. Imported scripts don’t.

When a subscription ends through cancellation or a failed payment, you return to Free. Credits left from the Free grant stay, but no new Free credits are added.

Free trial

Each paid plan comes with a 7-day free trial if you’re eligible. It asks for a payment method, includes 2,500 one-time credits, unlocks rendering, publishing, and downloading, and converts to the plan you chose after 7 days unless you cancel.

Trial video exports carry a small “Made with Jellypod” watermark, and trial Episode scripts include a sponsor mention. Once your paid plan starts, re-export a video to get a clean file.

To convert early, click Update Subscription on the billing card; selecting any plan ends the trial and charges the card on file. To cancel, see Cancel during the free trial.

Do unused trial credits carry over?

Yes. Your paid plan’s monthly credits are added on top of the remaining trial balance, and trial credits keep their original expiry, one month after the originally scheduled trial end, even if you subscribe early.

Why wasn’t I offered a free trial?

  • Your email address started a trial in the last 90 days. Eligibility follows the address, not the organization, so deleting your account and signing up again doesn’t give a second trial. Plus-aliases (name+test@example.com) and dotted Gmail variants count as the same address.
  • Your organization has had a subscription before.
  • Trials aren’t available in every country or region, or with disposable or Proton addresses. Jellypod decides trial eligibility at its sole discretion.

You can still subscribe without a trial, or use Free if it was offered at sign-up.
