Regenerate a line
Regenerate the audio for a single line.
When one line of an AI Podcasts Episode sounds wrong or its text changed, regenerate just that line. The rest of the Episode’s audio is untouched.
Regenerate a single line
- Script editor: hover a speech block and click Regenerate Audio.
- Timeline: right-click the narration segment and choose Regenerate Audio. See the timeline editor.
The button needs a Host on the block. If a name or acronym keeps sounding wrong, fix it in the Pronunciation Guide first.
No button regenerates a whole Episode, so regenerate each block that needs it.
Out-of-sync detection
When a block’s text, Host or a pronunciation rule it uses changes after it has audio, the block text dims and Regenerate Audio switches to a warning style and stays visible. Hover it to see what changed.
A block with no audio yet looks the same but shows Generate Audio; see speech blocks.
Regenerate blocks in parallel
You can regenerate different blocks at once, each with its own progress. A regenerating block’s text and Host are locked until it finishes, and editing other blocks doesn’t cancel it. A whole-script run, started by a broad Podcast Agent edit, locks the other blocks’ buttons until it finishes.
Edits made by the Podcast Agent
When the Podcast Agent edits your script, Jellypod saves it, then regenerates only the affected lines for a small edit, or every line when blocks are added, removed or reordered, more than half the spoken words change, or the script and timeline don’t clearly match.
The update keeps running if you leave Studio. If a line fails, the previous narration stays and the block is highlighted for you to regenerate.
Credits and the daily limit
Regenerating audio is free, including after you edit, split, reorder or add blocks. A daily limit applies; when you reach it, Jellypod says the limit resets at midnight UTC. For what does cost Credits, see understanding Credits.
Troubleshooting
- The button is greyed out: another audio run is active, or the Episode is read-only. Wait for it to finish.
- A line is refused or fails: reword it or switch the Host. See Episode generation failed.
