Asset Library

Browse and reuse your uploaded files and generated visuals.

The Asset Library lists the sources saved in your organization, plus music you upload, generated visuals, visual uploads and imported Commons media. Menus and dialogs call each item an “asset.”

To open it, click your avatar at the bottom of the Studio sidebar and choose Asset Library.

What the list shows

Each row shows the asset’s name, status, Type, Used In and Created, and you can sort by the last three. Used In counts the podcasts, hosts, episodes and videos that use the asset.

  • Sources that failed to process aren’t listed.
  • Generated visuals appear even when you didn’t select them for a video.
  • Visuals created before the library saved them automatically aren’t included.

Add assets

Click New Asset, or drag files, links or text onto the library. See file types for what you can add.

  • Images and videos are saved as reusable originals, up to 50 MB each. Videos keep their picture and sound.
  • Uploaded videos are transcribed in the background so you can use them as sources. Once processing finishes, open the video’s details to read its Summary or choose Download Transcript.
  • Documents, audio, links and pasted text are processed as sources.

Preview and download

Click a row to open its preview and details, including a visual’s generation prompt and an imported Commons visual’s source and license links. YouTube sources play in the popup, or use the Source link if embedding is disabled. Slide decks preview their first page.

To save the original file, including an uploaded PDF or slide deck, choose Download in the preview or the row menu. URL and YouTube sources link to their original page instead.

Reuse a visual

  1. In the video editor, open Edit visual or Add visual.
  2. Choose Library, then browse or search your images and videos.
  3. Choose a thumbnail to preview it, then click Add visual or Replace visual.

Reuse is free and doesn’t add another library copy. The original prompt and media credits stay with the visual. Replacing or removing a visual in a video changes only that video, and deleting the video keeps the library original. Library visuals have no delete action.

Delete a source

Choose Delete Asset from the row menu, then click Delete in the Delete asset? dialog.

For uploaded music, choose Delete Music instead. The Delete music? dialog lists every Episode, Video and Podcast that loses the track before you click Delete.

Removing a source from one piece of content only unlinks it; see remove a source.

Add library sources to new content

When you add sources to new content or in the Podcast Agent chat, the Add Sources dialog lets you search the library (Search assets…), select sources and click Add Selected Sources.
