Custom domains

Use your own domain for your podcast website and feed.

Every podcast’s website and RSS feed live at a free yourshow.jellypod.com subdomain from its title, the address you publish and distribute from. Connecting your own domain needs Business or Enterprise (see plan limits); on other plans, saving one prompts you to upgrade.

Connect a custom domain

Enter your domain

Open your podcast, click Share Podcast, then Edit Domain next to Podcast Link. Type the domain in Custom domain, for example podcast.yourcompany.com or yourcompany.com, without http://, https://, or www., and click Save Domain.

Add DNS records

At your domain registrar, add the DNS records below.

Check the status

Reopen Edit Domain. The status under your domain refreshes about every 10 seconds until it reads Valid Configuration.

DNS records

Type Name Value TTL Use for
A blank or @ 76.76.21.21 86400 An apex domain such as yourcompany.com
CNAME www or your prefix, such as podcast cname.jellypod.com. 86400 A subdomain or the www. version

An apex domain also gets its www. version, redirected to the apex. A subdomain registers only itself.

Domain status

Status What to do
Valid Configuration Done. Propagation can take a few more minutes.
Pending Verification Wait while verification runs.
Invalid Configuration Check that your records match exactly and nothing conflicts, then allow up to 48 hours.
Domain Not Found Check the spelling and that the domain is registered, then allow up to 48 hours.
Unknown Error Recheck your records and registration, then try again in a few minutes.
Domain already in use The domain is connected elsewhere.

Contact support if a domain is already in use, saving fails with “Could not register this domain,” or an Unknown Error persists.

Once the domain is live, yourshow.jellypod.com redirects to it, and your QR code and the RSS feed URL shown in Jellypod switch to it. /rss keeps answering on both hosts.

Remove a custom domain

In Edit Domain, click the trash icon next to your domain and confirm Remove domain. The podcast is no longer reachable at that address.

Change your subdomain

In Edit Domain, type a new name in Subdomain (“This subdomain is already taken” means pick another), click Save Domain, and confirm Change subdomain.
