Choose a video product

Pick the right video product for your project.

Videos, shorts and Voiceovers are separate Products that share the Videos collection in Studio.

Which to use

  • Videos and shorts: generated visuals over your narration; a Video is landscape by default and a short is a 30 or 60 second portrait video.
  • Voiceovers: narration written and timed around documents and images you already have.
  • Episode video: a video version of a podcast Episode, not a separate Product.

All three take up to four hosts, one per paragraph; a short starts with one. Generated scripts assign them, and you reassign paragraphs in the video editor. For Videos and shorts, the visual style and orientation are fixed once generation starts.

Length presets are in Duration. Length caps vary by plan, and custom watermarks need a Creator, Business, or Enterprise plan; see plan limits.

Episode video

An Episode can render as video with one of six fixed Podcast Templates, and nothing is generated. An Episode that once used generated visuals now has that video in your Videos library, titled after the Episode.

For generated visuals over an Episode’s narration, create a Video from the Episode. It reuses the Episode’s narration and music without resynthesizing audio, and the two stay independently editable. To go the other way, copy a video to a Podcast.
