Manage your subscription
Change or cancel your Jellypod plan.
You change, pause, and cancel plans on Settings → Billing, one of the billing settings that only members with billing permission (usually Admins) can change. Others are refused with “Only a workspace admin can manage billing.”
To change your card or billing details, click Manage in Stripe on the Payment details card.
Upgrade or downgrade
- Click Update Subscription on the Account balance card.
- Pick a plan. Compare plans in Plan limits, or check the Credits per day chart on Settings → Usage.
- Review the charge, added credits, and next renewal date, then confirm.
If you only need more credits, buy a top-up instead.
An upgrade adds credits in proportion to the time left in your monthly cycle: halfway through, Creator (11,000) to Business (30,000) adds 9,500. They follow the original cycle’s rollover expiry, and the full new allowance arrives at your next reset. Switching billing frequency on the same plan adds no credits.
Downgrades take effect at renewal. Until then, Settings → Billing shows which plan starts on which date; click Keep followed by your plan’s name to cancel the downgrade. If an upgrade payment fails, your current plan stays active; finish the pending payment before choosing another plan (see An upgrade is waiting for payment).
Switch between monthly and annual
Use the Monthly / Annual toggle in the plan picker. What you can do depends on your current interval.
| You are on | You want | How |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Annual, same plan | Toggle Annual in Update Subscription and confirm. |
| Annual | Monthly, higher plan | Choose the higher plan on the Monthly toggle in Update Subscription. |
| Annual | Monthly, same plan | Click Manage in Stripe under Payment details and confirm. The prorated charge shows first. |
| Annual | Any lower plan | Not self-service: contact support. Studio shows “Contact billing support to change this plan”. |
The annual banner
If your subscription has no other discount, your first annual year is discounted. On Starter it costs $180 instead of the regular $300, half of 12 monthly payments. After that, annual renews at the regular price. A subscription that already has a discount, such as one offered at cancellation, sees the regular annual price.
Monthly subscribers with billing permission see a Studio banner with the yearly saving. Switch to annual opens a dialog with the amount due today and your new renewal date, where you complete the switch. Keep monthly hides the banner for 90 days for your whole team.
Cancel your subscription
To pay less instead, downgrade.
- On the Current plan card, open ⋯ and choose Manage.
- Under Cancellation, click Cancel.
- Pick a reason. On a paid plan, click Continue, then Continue to Cancel.
- If an offer appears, accept it or click Decline.
- Tick the acknowledgement and click Confirm Cancellation.
Depending on your reason and plan, the offer is a one-month pause, a switch to Starter at your next bill, or a discount.
What happens after you cancel
- Your plan’s features continue until the billing period ends, on the date shown on the subscription card.
- Then your organization returns to the Free plan unless another plan applies. You can create and preview with your remaining credits but not render, publish, or download. Scheduled publishing stops, and your Podcasts are removed from platforms such as Spotify.
- Unused plan credits from this subscription expire. Purchased top-up credits stay. An active Educator credit grant keeps renewing on its own schedule (see Educator plan).
- Automations pause.
- Your account, Podcasts, and Episodes are not deleted, and past invoices stay available in Invoices and usage. To remove your team and data, delete your account.
End access now
To end a scheduled cancellation immediately, open Manage again and click Cancel now under Cancel subscription now. You lose paid creation features right away, forfeit the rest of the paid period, and move to Free.
Resubscribe
Click Update Subscription on Settings → Billing and choose any plan, before the period ends or later on Free. If Stripe canceled the subscription after a failed payment, follow Restart subscription instead. If you think you were charged in error, contact support.
Pause instead
A pause skips one monthly bill: billing stops for a month after your next billing date, then restarts on its own. You keep your plan’s features, content, and leftover credits, but no new monthly credits arrive, and you can’t buy top-ups, add paid seats, or change plans until billing restarts.
Each subscription can pause once. Annual plans, trials, plans already set to cancel or change, and plans with paid extra seats can’t pause.
To end a pause early, click Resume now on the pause notice. You’re charged that day and a new cycle with its credits starts.
Free trials
Change plans during a free trial
Selecting any plan during a trial, including the one you’re trialing, ends the trial and charges your card. A Confirm your updates dialog shows the price first, and trial limits lift right away. Unused trial credits carry over, as described in Free trial.
Cancel during the free trial
- In Manage, under Cancellation, click Cancel.
- On Cancelling ends your trial today, review what you lose right away: exporting and downloading, publishing, your Podcasts on Spotify and other platforms, your remaining trial credits, and your scheduled Automations. Choose End Trial Now, or Keep My Free Trial to stay.
- Pick a reason and click End Trial Now.
The trial ends immediately and you aren’t charged. Trial length and eligibility are in Free trial.
