Podcast settings

Change a podcast's settings.

Every Podcast in AI Podcasts has main details and a set of settings, each with its own Save button. Closing without saving discards your changes. To retire a Podcast, see Archive a podcast.

Main details

Open Podcasts in the sidebar, open your Podcast, click Edit Details, make changes, then click Save Changes.

  • Cover art: save with no cover and Jellypod generates one from the title, description and Hosts. If generation fails, the previous cover stays and you can click Retry on it.
  • Title: up to 100 characters.
  • Description: rich text, 10 to 3,000 characters.
  • Hosts: required, up to 4. Each Host speaks in their own Voice’s language, so a warning appears if no Host has a Voice in the Podcast’s primary Language.
  • Categories: required, up to 2.

Title, description and cover art update on your website and RSS feed. Existing Episodes keep their own titles, descriptions and music.

Podcast settings

Open the Podcast’s actions menu (three-dot button) and choose a setting.

Brand

Choose the Brand Kit this Podcast and its new videos start from: your organization’s default or another kit. It also sets your podcast website’s accent color.

Podcast Sources

Attach up to 3 reusable Sources (URLs, files, YouTube links, pasted text or Asset Library items) as context for every new Episode. Detaching one here doesn’t delete it from your Asset Library.

Episode music defaults

Episode Music sets default Intro, Background and Outro music for new Episodes only. Next to Intro, Generate (or Regenerate) creates an original intro; see Generate a podcast intro.

Video settings

Set the Default video style (see Episode video) and Default orientation (Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16) or Square (1:1)) that new Episodes start with. Picking a different orientation or style on an Episode offers to update these defaults.

The Podcast’s Brand Kit sets the watermark (image and corner) and whether captions use its Heading font. Caption style and visibility are chosen in each Episode’s editor. Custom watermarks depend on your plan; see plan limits.

Distribution

Paste the public URL for each podcast platform and add social links. They appear on your podcast website. For whether Jellypod branding shows there, see Remove Jellypod branding.

Advanced

  • Author: credited in podcast directories.
  • Episode order: Episodic or Serial.
  • Visibility: Public or Private. A Podcast already set to Unlisted can move to Public, but not back. See Podcast visibility.
  • Analytics: track Episode plays and downloads.
  • New episode emails: turn off to stop emailing your team when an Episode of this Podcast publishes or is scheduled. To stop them for all Podcasts, use notification preferences. While your personal setting is off, this toggle is disabled unless it is already on.
  • Publish Video to Website: off by default, so publishing renders audio only. Turn it on to also render video on every publish and show it on your podcast website. Download Video in the Episode toolbar renders video either way.
  • Additional Options: expands Unlock RSS feed, which temporarily allows a one-time host import.
