Episode details

Change an episode's title, description, and more.

Where you edit an AI Podcasts Episode’s details depends on its status. For the Podcast’s own name, cover and settings, see Podcast settings.

Draft episodes

Open the draft and select the Details tab beside Script, or click the pencil beside the title in the top bar. Every change saves on its own:

  • Title: press Enter or click away to save.
  • Description: rich text.
  • Cover: drag an image onto the thumbnail, or click it to upload or generate one.
  • Season: pick one, or click New to create the next season and move the Episode into it.
  • Explicit content: on or off.

Cover uploads can be JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 10 MB. When the Podcast has a cover, Generate episode cover makes an image in that cover’s style; without one, Generate with AI works from your description. An Episode with no cover of its own uses the Podcast’s cover, including in your RSS feed.

Published and scheduled episodes

Open the Episode’s details page and click Edit Episode Details to change the title (required), description, cover art, explicit flag and season. A published Episode also has Published On; for a scheduled one, use Edit Schedule. Click Confirm, and changes go live immediately.

To change audio, script or visuals, click Edit Episode, then Update Episode when you are done. See Updating a published episode.

Explicit content

Jellypod scans the transcript when an Episode publishes and sets the toggle. Flip it if the rating is wrong, but publishing again re-scans and can overwrite your change. If any Episode is explicit, the whole Podcast is marked explicit in the feed; see Explicit content.

Show notes

With Include show notes on (the default), Jellypod adds a Show Notes list of source links to the end of the Episode description. Set it in the settings dropdown in Create New Episode, or in an Automation’s settings for Schedule and Inbound Email triggers.

A Source is listed only if it shaped the outline and the claim it supports made the final script, and only public web links appear. If none qualify, no list is added.

Show notes are ordinary description text you can edit or delete. Turning the setting off doesn’t change what the Episode researches.
