Publish to YouTube
Publish videos and podcasts to YouTube.
Publish a finished Video or Short to a connected YouTube channel, or link a podcast so its Episodes upload as they publish. YouTube is one kind of Channel, which covers connecting, Publish defaults, and publishing to several Channels at once.
Connect and publish
Connect YouTube
Open Channels in the Studio sidebar, click Connect on the YouTube card, and authorize the account you want to publish to. Tick every permission box if you want Jellypod to show YouTube views; otherwise the Channel shows Analytics off. To add another channel, click Add another account on the YouTube card.
Publish
Open a Video or Short, click Publish, and choose Publish to YouTube.
Review and confirm
Check the title, description, visibility (Public, Unlisted, or Private), and audience, then click Publish. YouTube requires an audience answer: Yes, it’s made for kids, or No, it’s not made for kids. Disclose altered or synthetic content, under Additional settings, starts unchecked unless a previous choice is restored. Check it if the video has realistic AI-generated or altered content; see YouTube’s disclosure rules.
The description starts from the Video’s description, or each Episode’s for a linked podcast. Rich text becomes plain text: paragraphs become line breaks, bulleted lists become • lines, numbered lists keep their numbers, and links become the link text followed by the URL in parentheses. Titles can be up to 100 characters, descriptions up to 5,000 bytes, and neither can contain < or >.
A vertical or square video up to 3 minutes posts as a YouTube Short; anything else posts as a regular video. Each publish creates a new YouTube upload, so publishing the same render again asks for confirmation and creates a second upload.
Daily upload limit
YouTube limits how many videos Jellypod can upload each day. When the limit is reached, an upload waits in a queue instead of failing, and the Publish dialog shows “Queued: uploads when YouTube’s daily limit resets.” Queued uploads start after midnight Pacific time. A Publish you start yourself goes first, then Episode releases, then backfilled episodes. A channel that hits its own YouTube upload limit waits the same way.
Publish a podcast to a YouTube podcast playlist
Once a podcast is linked, every Episode you publish, now or on a schedule, is uploaded as a video and added to a podcast playlist on the channel. A linked podcast always renders video when an Episode publishes.
- Open your podcast in the Studio and click the YouTube badge below the podcast header.
- Pick the YouTube channel, or click Connect YouTube if none is connected.
- Under Select Podcast Playlist, pick a playlist or Create New Podcast Playlist. A channel with no podcast playlists gets a new one made from the show.
- If the channel has no saved Publish defaults, choose the visibility and audience for the uploads.
- If the podcast already has published episodes, choose under Upload Previous Episodes whether to Backfill them or upload New Episodes Only. Backfill uploads them oldest first.
- Click Publish to YouTube.
Only workspace admins can link a podcast. If YouTube asks for one more permission, reconnect the channel from the Channels page and allow Jellypod to manage playlists.
If you already submitted the podcast’s RSS feed to YouTube, the dialog warns that every new episode would appear twice, and backfill is not offered. Remove the feed in YouTube Studio first, or keep the RSS route: submit the feed and skip linking. The feed carries audio only.
To rename the playlist or stop uploads, open the menu beside the linked playlist and choose Rename or Disconnect. Disconnecting leaves the playlist and videos on YouTube.
Analytics and stored data
Jellypod refreshes analytics for linked uploads every 12 hours, and refreshes or deletes stored YouTube data, including statistics from a connected account, within 30 days. YouTube views appear in Insights.
Removing a connection revokes access and deletes its stored analytics, raw responses, and publication links; failed cleanup retries automatically. Videos stay on YouTube until you delete them there. Reconnecting does not restore earlier links or analytics, and fresh data waits until pending cleanup finishes.
Deleting the workspace removes analytics across providers. Removing one team member keeps the workspace’s shared data.
Connecting YouTube binds you to the YouTube Terms. You can revoke access anytime in Google account permissions.
