Schedule episodes
Publish an episode at a set time.
Scheduling publishes an existing episode at a set time, up to 90 days ahead, on Starter, Educator, Creator, Business, and Enterprise (see plan limits). To generate new Episodes, Shorts, or Videos on a schedule, use Automations.
Schedule an episode
- Open the episode, click Publish Episode, and choose Schedule for Later.
- Pick a date and time in your device’s time zone.
- Click Schedule Episode.
The episode’s status becomes Scheduled (see episode statuses). If you edit while its render is still running, scheduling uses that render and shows Scheduled from an earlier version; schedule again to include your edits.
At the scheduled time, Jellypod publishes the episode to your RSS feed and podcast website, and connected platforms pick it up. While New episode emails is on for the podcast and the recipient, your team gets an “episode scheduled” email when you schedule and an “episode is now live” email at release (see notification preferences).
Edit or cancel a schedule
Open the episode’s three-dot menu, on the episode page or in the podcast’s episode list:
- Edit Schedule: pick a new time and click Reschedule, or click Publish Now.
- Cancel Schedule: return the episode to draft with nothing lost. If it already published, this fails with “Episode has already been published.”
Content Calendar
Content Calendar in the Studio sidebar shows published episodes on their publish dates, scheduled episodes on their planned dates, and each upcoming run of an active scheduled Automation. Inbound email Automations have no run time, so they do not appear.
List view hides past days in the current month until you click Show all, and offers Edit schedule on scheduled episodes. Select an episode to open it, or an Automation run to open its settings. An episode Automation that creates drafts is marked as not publishing automatically.
Times use your device’s time zone, shown above the calendar. Automation runs are converted from each Automation’s own Timezone.
